"Great American Irish Festival" 25-27 July, Upstate NY
Anyone going to the "Great American Irish Festival" next weekend? It's in upstate NY at the Frankfort fairgrounds, between Utica and Herkimer. Great musical lineup including Enter the Haggis, Eileen Ivers, and Barleyjuice!
I'll be there for the day on Sunday, barring any at-home disasters or plagues....

You can camp on-site:

Imagine how rowdy THAT campground is going to be...!

I "think" I'm going to be there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I know it's a long trip but I'm willing to make it...
then it's on to Detroit.

I'm definitely thinking about going to this. I've never been to an Irish festival before. Since my wife is half Irish and always happily accompanies me to many Scottish festivals I feel like I should return the favor.

If you can't make this one, Jay, you should think about East Durham in May. It's a LOT closer to you.
I really wanted to go to this one, but it's not going to work out. Have fun, folks.
