I agree, that is a striking tartan! I have always known that any peoples not totally isolated are a mix. Glad to see that the origins of many of the "lowland Scots" is finally being recognized.

Indeed it represente our red and yellow flag has the double cross of saint- olaf and the black and white of the first Vikings who settled down in Normandy
