Estes Park/Long's Peak

This past weekend the Long's Peak Scots/Irish Celtic Fest happened in Estes Park, Co and several of us had a chance to meet up amid the roving pipe bands. HeathBar and Mael Coluim came in from out of state to join FreeDon, Livingston, Mudd and McNulty. Being way out on the fringe of the Great American Desert/ Western Slope of the Rockies I don't get to see too many people kilted. This past weekend was a great way to meet people from X-Marks, in person and not just on my monitor. This community is spectacular and it was great to actually meet people in the flesh who I have only seen and met on the screen. The last time I saw so many kilts,I was in a store in Scotland. The highlight of the weekend was twofold: the Tattoo Sat. night, and the fact that my wife ( somewhat of a kilt-o-file) said as we were driving home"You know it was kinda cool seeing all of those people in kilts, and you seemed really happy to be one of them." Any way the weekend in Estes Park was great and it was exceptional to meet all of you in person.

I was there. I ended up meeting up with Micheal Beeman and Livingston. I couldn't get to the beer tent through the crowds... Sorry I missed you, Nulty! I was looking forward to meeting you all!

I sure missed getting to meet all of you! Hope you guys all had a grand time. I look forward to our Oct Kilt-Birthday night! Hopefully others from further away might make it. And now it looks like I might be volunteering the morning at the Great American Beerfest! What a great day for me!
