Some good news
All the tests are finally in; my cancer is localised to one spot, has not spread any place else (they were worried about Lymph nodes). So today I am all hooked up ready to have the portable Chemo pak connected on Monday, plus begin Radiation at the same time.
Six weeks treatment; Chemo 24/7 with radiation on week one, weeks 2 -4 radiation only; week 5 chemo again with radiation; week 6 radiation only. God willing-and the creek don't rise- it should all be gone, or at least shrunk enough for surgical removal.
Thanks again for all the good thoughts, prayers & 'Mojos'. It certainly lifted my spirits.

As a cancer survivor (my 19 month check up was totally negative), you are still in my prayers.

I am glad for the update and your willingness to share it with us. I hope your experience will not be too uncomfortable, and I know that the discomfort passes. Been there, done that, and I always just kept telling myself, "I can do this." And I could, as you will.
I can assure you of the prayers of many of us. We will be glad to hear of your progress and your experiences. The great things about Xers is that we are all friends and truly care about each other. You have friends here you've not even met--like me--yet we are willing to share whatever you care to share with us.
God be with you.

Stan,
Having had a close friend go through Chemo I know you are going to have some rough weeks ahead of you.
Know that we are all rooting for you her on XMTS and it is entirely OK to be human and feel drained from the process...
...but as a kilted gentlemen and an X Marker you are required by to Kick butt and take take names.
You are in my thoughts.
Cheers
