    Winter

I took the bus back to college from being at home for Thanksgiving, and it started to (really) snow for the first time this season. I got on my boots, overcoat, and balmoral, and grabbed my camera. Check it out:

The colors are a bit weird because of post-processing (aka, Photoshop), but it gets the point across. Now, time to put on the "Charlie Brown Christmas" soundtrack and enjoy a nice Laphroaig.

Even though I live in the Upper Peninsula and we have lots of snow lots of the winter, I still enjoy looking at it and your pictures, even with the colors are very nice!

When I was living out in the Puget Sound (mid 80's - mid 90's), I used to hang-out with a cool old faht who was a Yooper who'd grown up in a town called Manistique; he always swore it was the most beautiful place on earth, and come h*ll or high water, he was goin' back. But he was still squattin' on Vashon when I moved back to Vermont, in '96!
Beloit, my friend, those pix are wonderful; when a fresh snow clings to the pine woods around here (like it's doing now), the locals call it "Sugar on the greens".

Really beautiful, Greg. I like the warm colors against the snowy mantel. I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed your third photo, blew it up and cropped it to 1920x1200 px, removed the noise and added a little glow, and it made the most luscious wallpaper for my iMac. What is the building?

    Regards,
    Rex.

I agree, Rex, that third one is a grabber. Serene and peaceful.

    Magnificent photos!

However, I am glad that I am not there but here, even if here is cold. Thankfully, here has no snow, at least not yet and by the time it does I hope to be somewhere else a little closer to the equator and therefore warmer.
