Well I have had this pice in the box for some time, it just has been busy. I think it is a wool blend, it should make a nice warm kilt. I set some temp pleats to see how it will look, just wanted some feedback, as I trust many of those here. Well here it is.....

Well let me know what you think, as I said the pleats are temp. I still have to press everything, however I am home with the boy tonight and a 2yr old and the iron do not mix. Sorry the pics are fuzzy the boy is very "helpfull" tonight.

Done....
Hey all finished it today. I had to go back tear some out and add two pleats, but I am now finished. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I know shut up and show some pic's.

Thought a bright liner would liik neat, and besides who looks at the inside. Well I think next I am going to try a solid black. I think it would be a good one to have since it is easy to dress it up or down. I also have a Goodwill black jacket I need to start on as well. Well hope you all like, and best to all.

I like. The brown tone of the leather strap is a good compliment.

Thank you all for the great comments. And sirdaniel1975 I had a great teacher who taught me a great lesson: This is a box pleat kilt. Not as clumsy or random as pants; an elegant pice of clothing for a more civilized age.
p.s. Not to upset anyone here, I like all pleats, just like box pleats the best.

I agree with Alan H - no reason to defend your preference for box-pleats. As you may know very well, it's been expertly discussed before that the box-pleat kilt are as traditional as knife-pleats, if not more historically traditional. I think it's an erroneous perception, among other things, that if it's not 8 yards and knife-pleated, it's less than a real kilt. (and therefore the cascade of other perceptions stemming from this; which other than this mention, I will NOT touch!)...
