Orvis Authentic Scottish Tartan Vest

I’ve been watching the Orvis website for this vest to go on sale. Today, I found it on sale and have placed my order. Yeah, I know it’s a little loud. But, I never minded being noticed, either. It will go great with some of bifurcated garments as well as my kaki canvas kilt.

Congratulations, sounds nice.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I bet it'd be nice with one of those black Stillwater kilts and a black shirt/hose.

I think so. Or at least with some brown earthy/tweedy stuff.
I think the trick would be to keep all the tartan in the vest in this case.

Mael....I think it's great looking. I have so many bits and pieces of tartan around, I know my wife could sew the pieces together and we could cut out a waistcoat like that. I have a dark olive green, dark green and black tartan kilt (box pleat which my wife made) that a mostly red mixed tartans waistcoat would look good with. THANKS for the idea. When we do Jacobite, there is a fellow who shows up as one of the Prince's bodyguards who has a coatee made of all types of tartan, not in squares, just patches.....it's unique, for sure! Malcolm

You know you have an addiction to kilts/tartan when start identifying the tartans

That was the first thing I started to do, even before looking at the price, checking out what tartans are there. Looks like black and royal stewart, maybe a duncan hunting, still working on the navy blue one.
No, must return to work.

Dang, I didn't know anyone else was doing that.
A bit too loud for my tastes, but we do want photos of you in it.
