Dunedin Highland Games
This Saturday the Dunedin Highland Games are being held in Dunedin Florida.
I'm heading out at about 6am. I will take about 2 hours to get there from where I live here in Central florida.
Are there any other Florida Kilts going to be there? Any one need a ride to a from? If so give me a call @ 407-716-3915 to make arrangements.
Let the games/fun begin!:soda: :food-smiley-002: !

The games today were great to say the least. There was a grand crowd of people there, many were not kilted, but wore some small symble of their Scottish background, a Tam, or a small swash or something.
I took loads of pictures. Ran down both camara Batterys, as soon as I get them recharged I will start posting pictures. I ended up using my phone
camara to finish up what pictures I could get.
There were loads fo venders there too. Didn't buy much, saving for my
"Seton Family Kilt" I did get two (2) Kilt makers quotes though, one for $775.00, and the other was $875.00. But somewhere along the line I have misplaced their cards. Oh well when the time comes I will use one of the
Kilt makers recommended by experienced members here on the board.

You need to take off that bit of code after the .jpg file name.

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Much to mt regret, I missed the Games again this year (although I'm quite sure that the wife and creditors are quite pleased). But I did pipe a quite beautiful garden wedding on an estate (I'm not taking liberties with the term!) way out of Plant City, and then a promotional event for DIAGEO-Guinness; the opening of a Tilted Kilt in Tampa. Between the Guinness girls and the Tilted Kilt girls, the company was quite enchanting (to the extent it required Herculean effort to focus on my tune).
I've got two other gigs with Guinness this month; a "Perfect Pint" bartender competition at the Hard Rock Casino (GO DALE! YEAH!), and Four Green Fields in Tampa (always a fun place to pipe; there's always a few lads who know all the words to my Irish tunes, and aren't a bit shy about adding vocal accompaniment). Also an Earth Day festival at Honeymoon Island State Park, three more weddings, a golf tournament, a whisky tasting, and a funeral Wednesday. I'm liking April!
The sad thing is; I just made more money in an afternoon than my "real" job has paid me in the past three months...
You do realize I live a block from there (Tilted Kilt), right?
Downix, I live near Belcher and Coachman; perhaps a mile from you.

I work right up the street from the hard rock, let me know the day and you'll get a room full of guiness lovers....
I'm in the opposite direction, so yes, about a mile.
