Army v navy rugby - twickenham - 2 may 09
I will be attending the Army Navy game at Twickers this weekend. I know Bowser is going are there any other X'ers out there?
Last year I wore the Hodden grey. This year I'm thinking about the DPM (Brit Cammo) sports kilts and Army Rugby Union Shirt and topping it off with a pith helmet. I'm just a bit concerned that this may be verging on conduct unbecoming for a middle aged officer. ith:
The 'Eathen in his idleness bows down to wood and stone,
'E don't obey no orders unless they is his own,
He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,
Until up comes the Regiment and kicks the 'Eathen out.

I can't go this year as I'm away with work but I hope you and Bowser have a great day! I think your suggested attire is entirely suitable for such a splendiferous occasion.

Sounds good (not heard of it before, but enjoy!). Who usually wins? Can I take it from the fact you are in Pompey that you are a navy supporter?

Wearing an Army Rugby Union shirt and a Regimnetal cap badge as an avatar? - the Army sent us to Pompey there are quite a few Pongos here.
The Army usually wins - lots of Fijians...
BTB Pompey is a dump!

I used to live in Southampton, the residents there would agree with you . I can't see an avatar of you with a rugby shirt on, just a small graphic with two green things (dragons? aliens?), a crown and some indistinct writing beneath....

My avatar is a regimental cap badge and in the post/blurb I mentioned that I'll be wearing an Army Rugby Union shirt with my DPM kilt and pith helmet...
The indistinct writing says 'Nilli Secondus in Oriente' - 'Second to None in the East'
