    International Travel

Okay fellow x-markers. I needed some advice on references and/or websites that can help me plan a trip overseas... From US to Ireland. I have found lots of websites that give advice and are willing to sell me a travel package. I need to know the legal stuff such as, what kind of licensing I need to drive etc. Even a travel forum would be helpful! Thanks.

I second that wholeheartedly. Rick Steves in the best ricksteves.com. I used his books and website to travel in Ireland, Scotland and London last year, it worked out very well
Don't tie yourself down with a round trip in and out of the same airport, such as Heathrow. After I committed to a round trip I realized the prices were just about the same to fly in to Heathrow and fly home from Glasgow. London was great but I would rather have spent more time in Scotland.

    Here's a nice website. http://wikitravel.org/en/Main_Page
It's the Wikipedia of travel. Edited and maintained by those who do the traveling themselves.

What do you need to know about Ireland? PM me or MacMillian of Rathdown, who lived outside of Dublin.

    Rick Steve's website is great.

You can also pick up his books at major stores. Grab a cup of coffee and browse them for free at Barnes and Noble, for example.

I sometimes re-read the ones I have just for fun sometimes, b/c he has a pretty sharp wit.
