    Albannach - Revisited....

So I ordered a couple of pairs of kilt hose from USA kilts and I thought I would add the live album from Albannach to my order. I dig good pipe music, but even more so with some thunderous drums thrown in.....

WOW! I am blown away as to how amazing this band is! I can't stop listening to it, and because it's "live" it's even more powerful than what they crank out in a recording studio.

I'm sure most of the rabble here need no introduction to this amazing band, but if you haven't heard, you might wanna get this cd. Makes me wanna kilt up right now!

Go and see them in person if you ever have the chance. No CD can ever capture the experience of seeing one of their live shows. You don't just hear the music, you experience it.

You beat me to that one! My son put together a drum circle because of how inspired he was when we saw the mighty Nach. I love my wool Albannach tartan kilt and wear it with much Misfit pride.

I have absolutely no doubt the live experience would be incredible. I can feel the power of their performance just off that disc.

Being a drummer and percussionist for over 20 years, it's enough to maybe take up the bodhran and start banging away again. I'm an aquaintence of the lone and local piper in town...maybe we can get a band going ;)

Only this weekend did I finally discover the joys of Albannach. I'm listening to it now. It works for me. My youngest daughter, Elena, is a crazy mad groupie of the Saor Patrol, and will probably love Albannach as well.

Pipes and drums, get that tribal beat going, feel your primal urges come surging out. Arrrr, arrrr, there's got to be some cattle around here I can rustle!

Makes you want to go kill something with a big sword, doesn't it?

Hawk any excuse, any excuse! You sir could find an excuse to grab the claymore and go whaling away because you found the fairies had blessed the lawn with a bunch of dandelions!

Picture this guys! Red haired locks flying kilted Celtic warrior/Druid loping the heads off of poor defenseless dandelions with 5 1/2 feet of cold steel all the whilst listening to thundering drums on his I-pod...Arrggh!

Ah ya gotta love the image!ith:

Frak - there goes my decision to spend no more money this month after buying my first tank and all that goes with it.
Watched some of the videos and Albannach really rocks! Got a download album and it has been running in my car non-stop since

It really does. Even if it is only virtual killing, those poor Orcs and Goblins in Moria are so gonna get it tonight. ;)

Those guys definately capture a spirit and energy that few bands can approach. Their shows are well worth seeing. I've seen them several times and always look forward to the next opportunity.
