Kilts Galore in Dumbarton
Tomorrow 16th May sees the Scottish Pipe Band Championship in Dumbarton, Scotland. Unfortunately the weather forecast is'nt great for tomorrow but hopefully the rain will stay away.
With all the kilts and various tartans on show, its always spectacular as long as the rain stays away but if it is like 2 years ago when it rained for most of the day, the pipers in the bands are covered with their long black capes which detract from the spectacle.
I always think its great when the sun shines and the pipers can be seen at their best resplendent in their uniforms showing off the the amazing selection of tartans from each band.
Hopefully might see some familiar faces there

Dracula cape is an apt description. I used to say that the pipers in their long back capes looked liked giant crows

If you do get sun, hopefully you'll be able to get some pictures to post here. It would be a grand sight to see all the different tartans.

Scottish scenery wouldn't be as spectacular as it is if it wasn't for the rain, so just enjoy the day and don't mind the weather.
And post some pictures anyway.
Kind Regards,
David.
