Clothing Not Costume Challenge
Ok, Rabble: It's time to post photos of yourselves wearing the kilt under informal, everyday circumstances: informal social gatherings, work, at home, out and about. Here are the rules:
#1: Event photos must be non-ceremonial; i.e. no weddings, no Burns suppers, no "Kirkin' O' the Tartan", no Highland Games, no Guard Mounting or Mess Dress;
#2: Photos must show you and/or others wearing the kilt as clothing, the kilt must not be performing the function of a costume.
Here's me about to go to a non-kilt wearing friend's 50th Birthday party...SWK Black Watch, SWK Nightstalker nylon sporran, Black football hose, black bicycle shoes...
Here's me explaining why pants are awful and the true meaning of freedom for the kilt wearer...
Here's me and the runner up in the Most Unusually Dressed Category...I'm explaining to him that he wins, as I don't even belong in that category because unlike him, I'm not wearing a costume and have attired myself in an understated and appropriate fashion...and I looked better doing the Samba, not to mention the Mambo...
Come one, come all, post your "Kilt as Clothing" pics. Cheers!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

One day a couple of years ago at work we had a very large snow storm, I was outside helping to shovel snow when I stopped for this photo.
I was at the CN Tower and had this picture taken on the Glass Floor.
This one was taken at Casa Loma.
This one was just me walking my old dog, I do miss her.

This is going to be an interesting thread, good idea.
The following shows me sitting by the waterfront at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. It was another of those great father/daughter days out. "Pink Death" had told me which kilt to wear and what accessories to accompany. She takes after her mother!?!

I had been out running errands this day...
Morning coffee out on the deck aboard a Carnival Cruise a couple years ago...

Seriously, a tremendous look. One of many on this thread! All the gentlemen look great!
