Skirt meets Kilt
Today I was out getting some last minutes things done at the college I teach at. I was wearing an original UK and at the cashier's office to sign up for my parking pass when a really good looking youngish woman confronts me and said: "Really great kilt". I responded "Really great skirt" (It was a wonderfully well-worn short skirt in black) and then we both gave two thumbs up to each other. I went away feeling that something wonderful had just happened because two human being chose to acknowledge each other and realized that they both had respect for the way they looked and the people who look at them. It's rather wonderful what a difference less than an minute can make!

I think the word respect said it all. Well done.

No... she gave him a thumb. Where, I don't know.

I do too enjoy pleasantries such as these with womanfolk while kilted. There's a shared feeling that passes between the two. There's an irony of sorts when she's in pants and I'm in a kilt.
