Just being a helpful kiltie
Today when I was in the pasta aisle of my local Safeway I overheard a younger guy talking on his cell phone to his wife. He said, "Honey, I don't think they make healthy pasta." So I tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the whole wheat and multi-grain rotini on the shelf a little further down the aisle. He put his had over the mouth piece and thanked me. Then I heard him say, "Angel-hair? I don't know, I don't see any." This time I picked up the two different brands of angel hair pasta the store had for sale and held them up in front of him. Again he thanked me for my help and told his wife, "A gentleman in a kilt is helping me find this stuff."
Later he got behind me in the checkout line and we got to talking about kilts and he told me his wife couldn't believe a kiltie was helping him with the pasta. He asked if he could take my picture to prove it and I gladly obliged him. Gotta love the fact most cell phone come with cameras now days.
Anyhow when all was said and done, he agreed to look into buying a kilt from Rocky and into joining the rabble here on Xmarks.
BTW...I was wearing my USA Kilts Black Stewart casual that I purchased from our own Kilted Pilot.

Excellent, you are a grand ambassador for the kilt. Hopefully you have won another convert to the joys of kilting and recruit to xmarks.

The poor guy was a bewildered newlywed of 6 weeks. I don't about me being a super hero, though. I'm just the hunter/gatherer for my family (wife and cats).

I've grown spaghetti squash in the past; it works pretty good as a pasta replacement. It also follows the "Three Sisters" custom...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Being a newlywed of 6 weeks, the poor guy was probably preoccupied...
Unenriched semolina pasta is not unhealthy. It's all the additives that make things not good for you. Zucchini shredded on a a mandoline makes a good pasta substitute.
I've often thought that a calico sporran would be quite nice looking.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Spaghetti squash is excellent vegie alternative to pasta. Still can't beat angle hair pasta though.
Catdad,
I currently have six cats living with me. You?
