    Pics of new Stillwater Kilt

    Basics,
    Distributor: Stillwater
    Tartan: Leatherneck
Time of wait: Forever, or 40 hours
Size: Ten inches larger than when I served.

I was going to wear it to church today, but it really needs to be ironed first. I flipped the iron over to see what setting to put it on and spilled water over the board. You may openly laugh at me for that move, I did. So I took some pictures instead. I tried to wear a suit coat with the kilt, but I didn't like the way the coat covered the kilt. I guess I will have to buy a waist coat.

I have been wearing for a while, it really is comfortable.

Very nice.. you look very sharp... and might i suggest one other item for your attire.. I found a Marine Corps Regimental tie that would look sharp...green base with thin red and yellow stripes.. and as the waistcoat... I ordered a lovat green one, and waiting for it to arrive any day now..

    That's a sharp looking kilt!

I was looking at the pics of your kilt and my father saw them and asked what tartan it was... When I told him it was the Leatherneck tartan, he smiled and said, "Well, it's damn fine tartan" (He's a former Marine - Korea and Vietnam). He's got a Marine Corps regimental tie, which should go very well with your new kilt, as peacekeeper83 mentioned earlier.

Looks great! My one and only thought is that patterned ties don't look good with tartan kilts unless the tie is of the same tartan (in my eyes, at least.) As Peacekeeper said:

Congratulations on your kilt! If I may - try to keep the belt buckle at the top edge of the kilt and keep about one hand width between the bottom of the belt and the top of the sporran.
