    Non-Scot kilted in London?

Next month my wife and I plan to go to London for a few days. I have worn kilts in many cities and countries and without any problems. But I have never worn a kilt in London or the UK as such.
Could there be a difference here in the interpretation of a man wearing a kilt – national dress to part of the population – and who 1) is a non-Scot and 2) not even has English as his mother tongue?

Should I just wear the kilt (casual wear) or?
    Some advice should be helpful.

London is a vast metropolis, nobody's gonna care, especially the English!

Heck, I've worn my father-in-law's Ghanaian kente cloth about town in the English capital with not a look sideways from folks on Oxford Street!

BTW, I once wore my kilt in Copenhagen when I was there for a wedding - minimal reaction.

I have never been to London wearing a kilt, but in my sleepy country village that I live in the people are just about getting use to me dressed in a kilt, but I think people today couldn't care less what you wear as they are too busy thinking about themselves

Bruce just about summed it up, no one will look twice in London.

That made me laugh out loud. It also made me a bit sad in it's truth.

I've worn my kilt on my trips to London and never had a second glance from the locals. One thing I did notice however was the surprising lack of smiles on peoples faces. Everyone always seemed to be in a great hurry to get somewhere and unhappy to be making the journey.

    Just an observation.
