The kilt in public
I wore my Irish National tonight, the first time to a major event, like my college, staff, Christmas party. Over 500 in attendance. Well, to my surprise, everyone was thrilled about my kilt package. Many great comments from the guys, but the ladies REALLY liked it. I'm sold! I felt cool wearing it, too. I had so many people come up to me and ask all about the kilt. I think I've sold two coworkers on getting kilts. Now, I want a tank next! Yippee!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!
I’ll wager that YOU were as interesting as (in part because of...?) the kilt.
Now then -- the kilt is a garment, not an entertainment.
A half-truth, that.
BTW: Good beer from Latrobe, mate!

I am glad you had such a positive reaction to wearing the kilt...now you decide on the next kilt, your kiltmaker, style of kilt, the accessories, events you will want to be kilted for, and oh yeah.... Welcome to the addiction....lol

Thanks guys for the comments. Yeah, I'm definitely sold. Can't believe it took me soooooo long to get into this kilt thing. I have several more parties over the holidays. Guess what???? I'm wearing my kilt, even if the ladies do swarm me. My wife might not be too excited, though! He,he!! ![Cool](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
I've already hooked up with the person that I think will be doing my tank....Wallace Catanach. His work looks awesome. And, he's located not too far from me, so I'll probably be getting a personal fitting. Can't wait! One problem, though, I gotta save my pennies.

Oops! I forgot to mention...we DO have great beer in Latrobe. It use to be Rolling Rock, but they were sold and moved to NJ. We are currently brewing Iron City products. I wonder if any of the workers at the brewery wear a kilt??

I was at a local brewery last night and some folks were talking about Iron City, I think. I know there are quite a few kilted homebrewers here on XMTS and I'm sure there have to be some professional brewers who are kilted.
Congrats on a good night out with the kilt!

You've just discovered "The Power of the Kilt".
There are more "effects" that you may discover with time.
Enjoy!
