First Day of Student Teaching with Students

Finished my first day of student teaching with the kids back in school. 7th grade Language Arts, came out smiling.

I'll slowly take over the class, eventually I will do four weeks where I do all the teaching and lesson planning. I have a wonderful cooperating teacher who has reaffirmed my desire to go into the profession after a semester of frustration.

Congrats on a good first day! I hope your kids have settled back into the school routine after break -- I know my 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders are still trying to get back in the groove.
    Best of luck!

Well done Rob. I take my hat off to all you teachers, I don't think the pupils would survive 5 minutes, with me at the helm!

If the first day went well, the rest of the semester has a better chance of going well. You'll feel as if the students are "yours" by the end of the term. (even the mean ones. )

Good on ya, and keep us posted on your progress.

Good job! I am a teacher. My advice to you is jump in and ask to do everything! the teacher will love you and you will learn A LOT!
