Sorry, I'll be off the forum for most of the day.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

My apologies to you all. This morning I awoke to the sound of dripping water. It seems that a water leak has developed in the ceiling of my wife's brand new kitchen.

My wife, The Kilted Knome, has a major business party planned for this weekend so I'm afraid that ripping into the ceiling takes precedence over this forum for one day.

To all those advertisers who responded to my announcement of the new advertising plan and have expressed interest in joining X Marks or changing your advertising level forgive me, I will not be at the shop, where my X Marks email account is, and will not be able to respond to you until Friday.

Apologies to all our members as I must don blue jeans for one day to climb ladders and get covered in drywall dust.

Now, if I can just find where I put that pair of jeans I was saving for times like this.

    Okay....

I am stressing out. I am in Fort St. John, way north in British Columbia. I come home tonight, and tomorrow at noon I have 20 business colleagues in our home for a formal, official event.

This morning I woke up to a Skype message "Houston, we have a problem."

Have I mentioned that I am stressing out?

    Relax Bobbie,
Steve has it under control. He's on it. All will be well by tonight. I have faith. He knows how important tomorrow is and won't let you down.

    Oh gees.

I had to replace the plumbing, (water supply side) when I bought my little, aluminum cottage out here in the desert; very thankful for CPVC, compression fittings , and soft copper tubing.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I really like plumbing, though putting in new taps or installing a washing machine is more my idea of fun than seeking leaks.

However - the protection of a new kitchen is of paramount importance - rescuing it from dripping water will undoubtedly earn Brownie points, so fingers crossed for a swift location of the problem and the rapid fixing of it.

Failure, and a flooded ruined kitchen is not to be contemplated - after all we're only just getting used to the new management.........

    Good luck!!
