    Cheerio Croke Park

Well just back after a fantastic day in Dublin to See Scotland beat Ireland in Croke Park.

What a fantastic stadium it is and a real shame the new Lansdown will have a capacity some 30K less but it was great to get a result with the winning score with only a minute to go

I didn't realise that they were closing it...always a shame to see old parks close, especially ones with history (without naming the issue)

Good to see the Jocks get a win, always love it when the underdogs get their day in the sun.

I'm surprised to hear that Croke Park will no longer be accessible to any sporting body other than the GAA. It was my understanding that the several million Euros of government money that went into the refurbishment of Croke Park was provided with the proviso that it would become accessible to all sports-- football and rugby included.

Nope, Rugby in Crokers was always going to be temporary. Lansdowne Road is now rebuilt for soccer and Rugby and a lovely stadium by all accounts too... On the down side, 30,000 less seats but on the up side a cosier stadium hopefully means an even better atmosphere!
