New kilt is here!
My Burnett's and Struth casual 16 oz. Munro Black and Red kilt arrived yesterday.

The box was a pleasant sight. I was hoping to get it for a whole week, and almost each day I was getting calls from the shipping department telling me I had a package. Alas, until yesterday, they were all wedding fits for my daughter!
Opening the box revealed this:

The creases steamed right out, and I had to try it on:

Forgive the lack of accessories. I'll try to get a more accessorized shot when I go to lunch in the new kilt Friday.

You probably saved yourself a whole lot of free advice with that last statement.

Hahaha! Yeah, I'd never go out looking like that. (And a navy blue shirt with a red and black kilt? Ugh!) Just put it on to make sure it fit well and to take a quick pic.

Nice look, similar to the Cameron Black and Red.
Do risk wearing it with a red shirt and red hose....

Well, I realized after I had ordered it that I have no red hose or black hose, and even if I did have white hose I wouldn't wear them. I do really like the look you've put together, so I'll probably need to get some red hose one of these days.
Although some of those diced hose and other fancy hose are REALLY nice. Gotta start saving again ...

Go for it! Your new kilt would look absolutely smashing with red and black diced hose. I really would like to see diced or Argyll hose make a comeback for everyday wear.

Hmmm ... sporran is too high or waistcoat is too long ...
