    Fingers Crossed

I just interviewed today for a position in a library genealogy department. I think it would be an incredible opportunity for me, even though it's part time. Regardless, I'm so thankful for the chance for an interview considering how I've felt ignored on past job applications elsewhere.... fingers crossed for good times for both myself and for my hubby who was laid off last December. Things have been great so far (all things considered) -- I hope to keep these good times going (and of course a nice job helps!).

Best wishes to everyone else also looking for work!

Best of luck with the library position, we really hope you get it. As someone who is recently employed myself after quite a long term of un-employment I know what you're going though, again all the best with the library, I think you'd be amazing.

Hey Cynthia, I've been unemployed a very long time now (), so I know the anxiety that comes along with the wait. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, saying a prayer, and wishing you luck (I think I just about got all the bases covered ).

Thanks so much, everyone! I got the call Thursday that they wanted to interview me today. Thursday was a crazy day for me... I heard that my grandmother wasn't doing that great, so we decided to head up to Missouri and Illinois Friday to visit my grandmother and my father, just in case their health took a turn for the worse. We got back Monday evening... one of those "it was a quick visit but felt like it took a long time" sort of exhausting trips. It was a hard visit to see them like that, but I'm glad I did it and I'm glad I got the opportunity for an interview. It made them happy to hear that I had a call as well, so along with the sad side of the trip, there was also good.

I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I shall utter a prayer for her.

As to the job interview, you have many folks here sending you the best of wishes and luck. including mine.
