Bruce Kilt
First of all hello to everyone as I'm new to this forum. I've just ordered a hand stitched 8 yd Lochcarron Strome kilt in Bruce modern tartan (my own tartan of course), and would be interested to see anyone elses kilts in the same tartan. I know there can be variations is sett as a few years ago I wore both the Bruce modern and the ancient and the setts were fairly small compared to one I've seen here owned by English Bloke.
Would be nice to see the finished result before mine is actually made. ![Razz](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
Actually has anyone got a Bruce of Kinnaird kilt, would like to see that made up too?

Welcome to X Marks from Lancashire.
As well as my Bruce Modern I have just got a machine sewn Bruce Hunting as a special weave from DC Dalgliesh via Tartanweb.
See Here and Here
X Marks member Hamish has a Bruce of Kinnaird kilt in ancient hue.
See Here.
And there's some pictures submitted by (the late) Retro Red of the The Mesa Caledonia Pipe Band, Kirking the Tartan in Bruce of Kinnaird Kilts.
See Here
I think there is only one other Bruce Modern on the site. Can't remember who's it is though.
My Bruce Modern is also Lochcarron Strome and there are lots of pictures of it on here. Too many to link to but if you want to have a shufftie, have a look in my profile and check for picture threads there. You'll be well chuffed with the Lochcarron Fabric. It's Ace.

Thanks for the pics English bloke, it'll be interesting to see if I get the larger sett like your own. Your kilt looks great, although I'll be happy with either the larger or smaller sett.
It should go great with the Sherrifmuir jacket and vest, I don't think enough people wear the Sheriffmuir, I like the more military style.
I've also got a friend of mine (Fraser Grant from Ian Grant of Edinburgh) making my sporran and sgian dubh. I decided to get them handmade as the stuff they make is second to none, literally. Mind you so are some of their prices.
As for the Comyn felly, whaur's ma' dagger!
