    An Inventory of the Kollection

I have a list of the collection as of about May 2006 when it was at about 60 some kilts.

Wonder if anyone has kept track of the Kollection since - or wants to research it?

Interesting that back then the Kollection was about 2:1 contemporary kilts to tartan kilts.

Here's what I have from a post by Ham.

Of course just reading the inventory of the Kollecton is enough to trigger "kilt lust" for a new kilt or three....

    Kilt Kollection Inventory Update

Were Ham not so busy I imagine he could provide a better listing. Went back through his posts and managed to put together this listing since the above post.

The numbers kind of skip around sometimes...so gonna leave them out and just list the kilts since the above post from Ham.

Brittany National by La Maison du Kilt
Brittany Walking by Tartan National Breton
Brown denim pinstripe by an annonymous donor (with TFCK kilt pin)
    Corrnish National by Cornovi
    Utilikilt Workman's in Chocolate Brown
Utilikilt Tan Original (to replace earlier zip up version)
    Utilikilt Tan Corduroy
Prince of Wales USA Kilts semi-trad in PV
Caledonia USA Kilts semi-trad in PV
Breton Tartan by La Maison do Kilt
Isle of Skye by Barb Tewksbury
    Bronze Leather R Kilt
    Craig Ancient by Geoffrey (Tailor)
3 piece pinstripe kilt suit from TFCK
Edwards Welsh tartan 5 yard casual
Union Kilts house tartan in wool/acrylic blend by Union Kilts
Weathered Red Gordon by Geoffrey (Tailor)
    Tweed kilt suit by TFCK
Tweed kilt suit by House of Bruar-Erskine
Royal Scottish Country Dance Society tartan by Tartan Kilts
    Ardbeg tweed by Anne Campbell
Blaklader Hi-Vis bright yellow work kilt
    County Caven by Geoffrey (Tailor)
    Khaki cotton AlphaKilt
Buchannan old sett weathered by ScotWeb
A wee kilt attached to a card in an unknown fashion tartan (listed as #91)
    Macmillan Black by March Brae
    Galloway Hunting by Geoffrey (Tailor)
    Manx Hunting by Manninkilt
A fashion tartan in double box pleat from Lady Chrystel
Tara/Murphey by USA Kilts in PV semi-trad
    MacBeth Ancient
    Sackett tartan by Wompett

So know that's not in order - if there is an order - and know that's not all 98 to date...anyone know what #99 is or will be?

The list is very impressive, and while it would be a tedious undertaking, photos would really be phenomenal.

Yes, I would love to see all his kilts, but if he can't post them, I would understand.

Look no further than Hamish's own Online Kilt Gallery for pictures of all of his kilts (up to 98, I believe).

I understand from Robert that there should also be a British Rebel Tan leather RKilt from 2005 in the Kollection Inventory.

And thanks for the gallery link Cygnus...had thought that was still under construction.

A great wish list for the rest of us!

You are correct there Ron. July 2005, No.52 in The Kollection: although I know it as 'British Tan'. My first R-Kilt and still one of my absolute favourite leather kilts. Mmmn!

And thanks for the gallery link Cygnus...had thought that was still under construction.
I am afraid it still is under construction, Ron, but useable as far as it goes. It does run as far as No.98 but, due to the technical difficulties I ran into, several of the final images there may not be accessible - they certainly have not been titled nor have I been able to add my comments. I was hoping to overcome those problems back at the start of the year, but my health situation prevented my getting the awfully kind chap who constructed the gallery framework down to Storrington to help me. This will now have to wait until after my impending surgery, but it will be done eventually.

For those who are not aware of this gallery format, the initial images are actually thumbnails. Hovering the cursor over an image will/should produce a basic description, but clicking on it will/should bring up an IMAX-sized image (!) complete with description and some comments regarding the kilt or accessories.

    Take care,
    Ham.

Wow. That was amazing. I especially liked the road crew glow in the dark kilt.

    Riverkilt,

What gets me is the 25 year gap between the first kilt and the second kilt which precipitated the kiltsplosion.
