A Benefit for the Clan Donald Educational & Charitable Trust
Follow the skirl of bagpipes to beautiful Ligonier for the annual gathering of the Clans. Join more than 5000 people at the Ligonier Highland Games and experience exciting competitions in:
* piping, fiddling, and drumming
* athletic events such as tossing the caber and the Scottish hammer throw
* Highland dancing and Scottish country dancing, as well as the timeless tradition of Gaelic Mod.
Shop for Celtic wares including pottery, jewelry, tartans, Scottish food, and, of course, kilts!
Visit the Clan tents to explore the history and genealogy of Scotland's families.
Enjoy the Children's Games, the Massed Bands (hundreds of pipers and drummers at once!), Scottish-breed dog exhibits, and Celtic performers from all over the world!
Special Events for 2010 Games go on, rain or shine!
Welcoming Ceremonies with Massed Bands at 12:00 noon.
Appearance by Lord Lyon, the Chief Herald of Scotland to Queen Elizabeth II, the oldest heraldic office in existence.
The Ceilidh follows at 7:00 pm at the MillCreek in Ligonier with catering by the Ligonier Tavern. Reservations required...see form below.
Performers include Colin Grant Adams, The Mickeys, DruidSong, Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dance Society
and, on Friday, September 10, Piping Contest, Four Points Sheraton (6-10 pm)

However, I do wish the Games had a website. I saw the "page" that included the information you posted, but nothing such as directions, daily schedule, a map, etc.

Yes, their website needs a lot to be desired. The PDF with the daily schedule is not active.
As far as directions go, if you need them, send me a PM. I live just ten minutes away.
Xmembers should find a place to meet up. I do know that Wally Catanach, famous State College kilt maker, will be there.
Again, if going, PM and we can exchange cell #'s.
Also, I'm going to the ceilidh that evening. Anyone else attending that event?
