    xylophones? huh?

Today I was walking in to work, kilted up of course. This woman comes bounding down the stairs and rushes over to me. She bellows...

    I'll ask him!

....which I think she was saying into her hands-free cell phone....and then breathlessly asks me.

"Hi. I saw the kilt! Do you make xylophones?"

Honest. Seriously. This happened to me, today. In fact there was something like a logical reason, but I have to say that while I've heard the bagpipe question about 46 million times, this one was a new one for me.

Were you wearing the German-American tartan?
She was obviously confused and meant to say glockenspiel.

That question is so obscure, I would be compelled to answer honestly, "Why yes I do".

I could only guess that perhaps you fit the general, physical description of a known xylophone maker. Perhaps said individual is a kilt-wearer even...

I would have said "No...but I and I make de best steel drum in Jamaica, Mon! Yah, boy!!!"

I'm sure she would still be confused the next day.
