Newbie do I have it on right?
This is the first time I have had these on, the outfits were given to me and before I go out, what should I correct? I know the length is long and I will have that taken care of, so here are 4 photo's have at it. Thank you

BEEDEE, Yes they are, so I would be presentable in public, I do not want to offend anyone just because I am new to this. Thank you

Pleats are in the back and your bum is not showing. Lookin' good.
Butt seriously, your outfit is impeccable, with one possible exception. From all four pictures it appears as if the lower edge of your kilt is covering your complete knees. This may be an artifact of the angle from which the pictures were taken, but I fear that your kilt is riding a bit lower than optimal, which would place the lower edge of your aprons should be about mid kneecap to the top of the kneecap, give or take.
Only other suggestion would be to make sure that the clan badge on your cap is slightly off to the right directly over the temple and just in front of the top of your ear.
Good to go, and spectacular for the first outings of a relative newby.

If I looked half as good mine as you do in yours, I'd move to Hollywood.

Looking good Sir, only 3 small suggestions.
Leave the tartan pocketchief out of your daywear and in your formal outfit try the sporran just a wee bit higher. It looks as if it maybe pulling at the apron, flaring your left side kick pleat.
From the look of your hose they appear off white, I will suggest as funds allow a selection of different coloured hose and your done and dusted. Cheers

I'll second this. On the second outfit (formal) I would wear the sporran higher. Maybe 3 fingers below your vest. The issue with white or off-white hose is that it makes people instantly think bagpipes. Get some nice colored hose or diced hose for more formal looks. And as you said the kilts are a touch low. You look great otherwise. One question where are you wearing the kilt on your body? As in how high is the top of the kilt?

I have to admit that the photos were taken before I found this forum. Yes, the kilts are to low and I will move the sporran up. I did receive a pair of blue hose and also a pair of red diced hose. He did have several off white hose so I should only wear those when I become better at playing the pipes? As for the red pocket chief, would the previous owner had used it with the red diced hose? The original owner is deceased and no one in the family wanted the kilts, they asked me if I could use them, I was like a kid in a candy store. Even my wife told the couple that I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. Polishing the shoes, those spit shine days are far behind me, never thought I would ever have to do that again. Thanks for all the replies this is a great site and so much help to a newbie.

You can donate the white hoses if you wish. As far as I know, they're not like a black belt in karate. Pipe bands use them because they are cheaper and are easier to match. You can be the greatest player in the world and never withe hose....
To my eyes, it seems that your hoses are a little low on your leg.
And to make things clear, I am jealous....
