The San Antonio Highland Games - April 2 & 3, 2011

The San Antonio Highland Games will be held the weekend of April 2 & 3, 2011, in Helotes, TX, at the Helotes Fairgrounds. This April event (most usually the weekend of or preceding Tartan Day) in the NW San Antonio area has almost always had good weather, and I highly recommend clan conveners, vendors, pipe bands, dancers, exhibitors, and patrons to take part. I will be hosting for the Clan MacIntyre Association and also pestering the Buchanans for any free food they may offer and gleefully annoying the MacLeods for their scotch. Preceding the games is a wreathe-laying ceremony at the Alamo. Here's the website:

We'll be there both Saturday and Sunday, and will be at the Tartan Day commemoration at the Alamo on Friday night as well. See you there, Steve!

I'll be there on Saturday. Possibly Sunday too. I'll make sure I come by and visit you again at the MacIntyre tent, Steve!

It's going to be pretty warm this weekend, with lows around 60 degrees and highs during the day around 90 degrees. I sure hope there's a light breeze blowing.

I'm hoping to be able to get by there on Sat. Next week is our Command's Best Warrior Competition and I have to work Sunday and a bit on Sat.

Hoping to make it to the Alamo also.

I'm going to try my best to be there, it will be my first one. Have been to the Stone Mountain Highland Games and love the atmosphere.

Hopefully will catch Seven Nations, have been a fan of theirs for years.
