Where would you have it placed? Would you ask the artist if he/she can make the kilt in a tartan...possibly the one you wear? That would be pretty sweet! I like it.

It'll go on my left calf. I'll definitely ask the artist if he/she can make the kilt a tartan, possibly Black Watch or Wallace. I figure keep it simple in that regard.

I own three tartan kilts that i wear: Irish National, Black Watch and Black Stewart.

That will look cool. I can just imagine the hilt of that sword peeking out over the top of your hose! And of course, if you do decide the standard same old rule applies....no pictures, didn't happen

Poor guy only has 4 fingers! That sword must be sharp!

A Black Stweart tartan on him would probably really stand out.

Something like this. This is the best I could find on photobucket. This is not me or anyone I know, the photo came on a search for great kilt.

I suppose you could have seen a knitted Balmoral or TOS. I've not been to a Ren, but my impression is a lot of their apparel is hand-made/home made.

Most commercial versions I've seen are either felted wool (for most Balmorals) or tartan (for most TOS's).
