A pair in my ancestral tartan, Lindsay, had my mouth watering . . .
But a kilt in that tartan would be much better, I think.

I have tweed shoes that I wor with a tartan kilt, but I haven't worn them for a long time now. I don't think they were quite right for the kilt.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

No. I don't know what kind of tweed they are, though they match a flat cap I no longer wear, and they are more along the lines of eight and a half or nine.
I might wear the shoes again one of these days.
