Australian "Utilikilts"?
An Australian company, OZ Kilts, has started selling utility kilts, even if they right now are out of stock.
As far as I can judge from the pictures they are Utilikilts, and at least some of the pictures come from from the UK homepage, I'm convinced.
The logo is different, however, and so are the prices, only 75 Australian Dollars. Ever heard about them?

I've not heard of the company, but those are definitely the USA Utilikilts design... Judging by the price though, their made here in Aus, and are no doubt of lesser quality Not sure what my thoughts on this are, I'm glad to see an Aussie company making affordable kilts, but I wouldv'e expected them to change the design at least slightly.

Drop him a line and ask him why he's 'borrowing' the design? The response would be interesting.

I've already done just that, mentioning how "I'm impressed your designs so closely match the Utilikilt, great minds think alike ay?" ...somehow I'm not expecting a reply

Re: Australian "Utilikilts"?
Got a reply to my email, now bearing in mind the following quotes from the site : "I bring to you the Oz Kilt, the Aussie utility Kilt" and "We are currently out of stock but are busy making more", his reply was:
"Hi Robin,
At the moment we are getting them made OS but are starting a local production
crew within a few months.
If we make locally, the prices will go up a bit so we'll probably give people the option
and change the styles a bit with the price.
These are very simular to the American kilt."
...So much for being an Aussie Kilt!

Just as long as you rip it off with respect... The rest is Utilikilt's problem.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

You are right about the pictures: right off the Utilikilt web site. The tan is the UK Survival tan and the brown is the Original.
I'm always concerned about anyone who will lift pictures of others people's products and use them as their own.
I am also now interested to see what response comes from your email.

If you google the name of the owner of the business, Shaun Waterford of Brisbane QLD, you will see that he is also the inventor of the Waterford underwater living cell and was or is the main representative of a vitamin company for horses and a actor and a model, its a wonder he has time to get into kilt manufacturing.
