Just spotted this tank on ebay

    Just spotted this on ebay.

A bit too long for me..

    Man's Heavyweight Woolen Kilt

    This is 35 inch waist with a drop of 23 & 1/2.

It is from Burnside Highland outfitters in Falkirk. It might be Wilson Tartan. It is most definitely in pristine condition.
One buckle on each side of the waist.
The pleats are deep so i think this is a good 8 yard kilt. Absolutely not one of the cheap kilts you see in the tourist shops!

    End quote----------------------------------------------------------------

I think it is Wilson ancient.

    Chris.

It looks good to me. Perhaps a bargain for somebody. The seller lives in my neck of the woods as well, not that that's necessarily any recommendation, but the picture and description suggest a first class condition

Looking good. I guess it would still fit my 34 inch waist.

    Will see...

Many kilt makers size to the middle hole on the strap. If that's the case here there would be around one inch adjustment either up or down so it might fit fine as is. The only way to check that is to get the seller to measure from the front of the left hip buckle to the first hole on the upper right hip strap

Even if that still measures to 35" it's not a particularly complex or expensive job to move the straps one inch
