Alexandria (VA) Scottish Christmas Walk Parade
The 41st Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade will be held on Saturday 12/3rd. It is a wonderful event to attend and even more so to march in. So, if there are any XMarkers who doesn’t have a Clan/Society or one that is marching you are invited to march with the MacCallum Malcolms. Your family/friends are welcome too. Just remember its a Scottish event so dress appropriately. Just let me know you plan to join us. Here are the pix from last year. The parade begins at 11 AM and we will begin line up around 9 AM. The parade lasts about 2 hours.

Mael,
It is indeed a wonderful event, and Michele and I had a great time. I am afraid we will not be walking with you this year. During the year, I discovered that I had a connection to Davidson, and Davidson will be walking this year. So I will be there with the Davidsons, in my new USAK Davidson 5-yard wool kilt, and Michele in a Davidson Tartan skirt. We will swing by MacCallum Malcolm to say hi during the line up.

Re: Alexandria (VA) Scottish Christmas Walk Parade
I'll be walking with Clan Young. May even have a number of the grandkids with me. As it stands at the moment, 4 of my grandsons and 1 of my granddaughters will be walking with me. My bride and another granddaughter will be on the sidelines with cameras. I get down for the Walk every year I can, always a good time. This picture is the youngest grandson and I after the parade last year.

I will be there with the Northern Virginia Branch of the Royal Scottish Dance Society. We always have a great time at the parade!

I'll be marching with the Appin Regiment, probably in our usual spot just around the corner from you.

This particular weekend each year I could ALWAYS be at least 6 or more different places. This year I think it's only 8 different things happening on the same weekend.

Re: Alexandria (VA) Scottish Christmas Walk Parade
I'd love to participate in the walk one day. A good friend of mine, and Macpherson cousin, Col. Rod Clarke (Ret.) of Virginia, participates in the walk every year.
Cheers!

I love Alexandria - would be a dream to be able to figure out how to fly out, join the walk, have some lucsious seafood, and be back in time for work on Monday....
Hmmm...air fare a mere $1,200+ round trip on two airlines through Denver.....only about $100 a block plus meals and motel.....
