Coastal Central Florida Kilt Night
Just wondering if any of the rabble out there in Xmarks land, that live in the Daytona Beach, DeLand, Palm Coast, etc..areas would be up for a Kilt night, or afternoon in the next couple of months. All are welcome. We have a few nice pubs locally, with some great live Celtic Music!

Coastal Central Florida Kilt Night
I'd be interested if the event was held on a Friday or Saturday afternoon/night. I'm fortunate to still have a job and won't jeopardize it with "time off" unless I really don't have a choice ...
But I'd really like to attend an event with some of you kilties ... sometimes it feels like I'm the only one out here ...
Cheers!

I was thinking on a 3rd Saturday of whatever Month in Daytona. One of the local Pubs has a Celtic Music Session from 2pm-6pm(They have great food and drinks!). I'm also open to other Ideas...If we where to set up something a few weeks in advance I can promote it around Town.

I'm in Sanford, and I'm interested. Just keep me posted on the where and when. Already have plans for the weekend of St. Patrick's Day, but I should be available otherwise at this point.

Re: Coastal Central Florida Kilt Night
March 10th we have a Celtic festival in Ormond Beach, the next weekend is St. Augustine festival.( I'll be at both)
But I was thinking, the last Saturday in April? Most of the area Highland games will be over with, St. Paddy's day will we a faded, foggy memory. Mck's on Beach st. in Daytona has a music session that day. We could meet up a bit inland if that suits other folks better. This is my first attempt at getting a Kilt gathering together so any input is welcome! I just think it would be great to meet up with some other XMarks members and share some stories and good fellowship.

Timing sounds good ...
With BatlRatl coming from the north and me from the southwest, Daytona is about as in the middle as you can get, so that seems fine to me as well.

So lets say April 28th, 2012. Maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon? I'll wait till the beginning of April and update this thread. Looks like we have at least 4 that want to attend. I can scrounge up a few more Locals I think. The Pub I was thinking of has a great Celtic Music session that same day, and if anyone enjoys Beverages, a nice single malt collection, and 150+ beers. Ohh and great food also!

I'm interested, down the road in Melbourne, Daytona is doable, but would rather do an afternoon to early evening event so I am not driving back so late!

Not only does the setting sound wonderful, I'm also glad to see so much interest. I'm going to put this on my calendar.
