    Pleated Skirt

One of my Cilts was in desperate need of a dry clean. So I took it to the said shop and told I could pick it up in 48hrs. I duly did.
On arrival at the dry cleaners to collect it (cilted), the woman behind the desk shouts to another woman a bit back down the shop to go and get the 'gents pleated skirt'.
It arrived at the counter and I enquired how much I owed ... she looked at he neccessary sheet and said ' let me look a min ... a pleated skirt is £9.50'
I paid her and said thankyou and went on my way with my pleated skirt. Ah well ...
    Cant win em' all eh!

How much would they have charged you to clean a Cilt?

In my city it costs almost twice as much to dry clean a Kilt as it does a pleated skirt. Perhaps they were giving you a break on the price.

That's how it is near me as well. A pleated skirt is $10 plus a pressing fee based on the number of pleats. A kilt falls under a category of "speciality garment" and costs $18 plus the same pressing fee.

***. With this addiction, you have to pinch pennies. So, you could get more kilts later.

BTW, is there a special place in Kettering where you take your kilt ... umm, pleated skirt to be dry-cleaned? I figure if they know how to handle your kilt, then they're one step above the other cleaners.

I pay the same price for everything at the Johnston's dry cleaners I use when I visit my Mum - £9.50 and they call it a kilt.

I remember other cleaners in the past that priced it as a pleated skirt though.

A pleated skirt or a kilt? Well, some cannot tell green from red either.
