^This...To better a sharp man in a well fitting kilt you need to go 'over the top'...IMHO.

My wife wears her normal clothing. No need to be twinkies or try to coordinate our wardrobes.

Some ladies wear a tartan sash in the same tartan as their husbands' kilts. We have threads on this subject that you can search for.

I'm not married, but my girlfriend is quite supportive of my kilt wearing and wears various types of outfits when I kilt up, depending on the event... does that count?

My wife basically wears whatever she wants. If we are attending a RSCDS function, Burns night, or clan function, she will wear a tartan sash, though none of her sashes match any of my kilts. I don't worry about it, nor does she.

Quite right. Tartan is tartan. I just wish my missus would wear some (real tartan, that is).
