I got there later on Sunday than I'd planned, around noon-thirty. Did manage to say hi to some Xmarkers though, and had a wonderful afternoon!
Postscript: As it was a bright and hot day projected to hit a high temp of 98 (F), I'd considered taking along my 'roohide "outback" hat from Barmah. But for some reason, much as I love that hat and wear it often, I still haven't been able to bring myself to wear it with a kilt. I did find myself noticing kilted men with headgear, though, and saw so many wearing similarly broad-brimmed hats that they seemed almost a uniform of sorts -- certainly they vastly outnumbered balmorals and glengarries combined.
I decided to keep my cool with a short-sleeved safari shirt in British tan; no headgear; and SPF 100 sunscreen. Panache, when I saw him, was of course wearing his famous pith helmet.

Nice photos and good seeing you Sunday Phil!
Would you like us to add more photos of the games to your thread or start new ones?
Cheers

Thanks for getting things started Phil! Here are a few I captured over the weekend:
Me and some of mine on Saturday. Yours truly, Connie, her youngest Daelin in one of his new kilts, and her oldest son Kellen in some borrowed kit. This was both Daelin's and Kellen's first time out in kilts!
Here are a couple from Saturday's closing ceremony. The U.S Marine Band San Diego was joined by OC Richard's pipe band, the Los Angeles Scots, a wonderful mix of pipe and military band music and parade moves.
Here they are being led off the field by the drum majors of both entities:
Here are a few of the gang at meeting and chatting it up.
WalkerK, OP Sailortats, and Daelin;
Yours truly hamming it up with that infamous Highland Athlete Allen H:
And joined for a laugh by our friend Panache:
Here is a group shot from Sunday:
A great weekend with great friends and activities.
I'm sure others will follow with more photo's soon.
Regards,
Brooke
