Just a thought to put out there to my favorite bunch of Kilties... Ok every Kilty
So as an aspiring kiltmaker of the more modern style utility type kilts I am curious as to how many of you out there would be willIng to test garments from an unknown name in making. I have a design I want to introduce but at the same time don't want ripped off if i get outside help. I really like the rabble and know you are all trustworthy especially you business owners. Ideas and comments are appreciated.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of people willing to try a new design, if the recent interest in the unproven 5.11 kilts is any indication. I'd be willing to test one out too, but just to be clear: are you talking about a free trial, or a purchase of a prototype?

One thing I noted with this 5.11 kilt was that it had an apron in the rear. To each his own, but I really prefer pleats.
Are you planning pleats?

I am planning pleats I have done three types out of the six pleating styles I am aware of, with the prototypes it's going to be a box pleat. I can do reverse kingussie, knife and box, although if someone is interested in testing my design with a strange color combo of fabric with thread I have a solid red with blue thread on my work bench right now that is going to be reverse kingussie.

You seem to have enough testers, but, I am very interested in seeing pictures of your prototypes when you are ready.

I would be willing to test one as well. But Tobus asks a great question...free trial or some sort of purchase of the test model. Also note that I am bigger than your average bear, so there would be more material for my trial version.
