Sheriffmuir on the way
Ordered through John in black barathea. He says it normally takes a couple of months (it's a sub-contractor) so I'm looking forward to its debut at a June occasion when I'll be preaching for the outdoor sunrise breakfast for our Scottish lodge in town.
With my potential diabetic weight fluctuations, the Sheriffmuir gives me some forgiveness so long as I don't have to wear the vest, and with the possibility of a clerical collar (or not) I'm really looking forward to the range of possibilities.
My black barathea Argyle is now way too big (looks like it's borrowed from my big brother) and although my clerical collar gets me a lot of forgiveness, it's a style that doesn't really cover the range of more formal occasions in which I sometimes find myself. The Sheriffmuir seems to be more able to be dressed up or down all the way from vest and jabot down to just a white shirt and tie.
Pictures... eventually, and the Argyle (size 52 T) will probably be here for sale.
Thanks John!

I too, thought about getting a doublet (though I opted for another kilt.)
I look forward to seeing the photos!

Good for you, Father. I chose a Sheriffmuir for the very reasons you stated & selected tweed to "dress down" a bit further. However, mine won't arrive until well after yours.
I too, look forward to your images.

My third kilt... will come in time, and John will have the contract when I have the $$, but I have two beauties now and am limited in wearing the oversized tent.
Want to buy a size 52 Argyle?

Dome, I'd love to see your pictures too, and Ken, thanks for the encouragement!

I already have one (a 50), or I would consider. But post photos and you might get offers!
