Have clansman ribbons ordered and hotel set up.... staying all weekend this time out. and yes Thomas last year im very glad i had a great kilt .. came in handy to keep me warm and dry when the rain and chilly fog came in . The great kilt makes for a fine garment for bad weather
This will be my first year attending the games. I have some friends that are staying the week before and the week after in the campground. I live close enough that I will just sleep in my comfy bed and drive the 11/2 hours to get there. As much rain as we have had lately I am hoping it will be all rained out by then. I hope to meet ya'll there.

Hey, what are the clansmen ribbons ? I wish the games in Georgia handed out ribbons for the tents, but they don't .so I was just wondering what ribbons you were talking about.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
As Thomas H said, take you Wellies if you go! (And a raincoat and big umbrella too!)
We drove over from Texas for the games last year, and to put it mildly, the weather was uncooperative. Our last evening there, the sun did peek out... I'm not planning on attending again this year, but may give it another go in the future.
Here's a photo from last year featuring the crucial item:

instead of arm band you get a clansman ribbon that's your weekend ticket to everything including parking near the field. there are higher packages with more ribbons and the chieftain packet includes several other perks... and as far as ribbons for tents they have clan competitions for best dressed tent and such... think they get ribbons and a games flag for display for the weekend. not sure of the official rules.

Leaving to go up the mountain now. Bringing the wellies and the Inverness cape. Will look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday at noon at the Museum tent. I'll be at the MacMillan tent. Stop by and say hi.
