    Women and kilts

Okay lads, lets hear your stories. We all have had those times when the lassies have gone a bit too far (or maybe not far enough!) when we are wearing the kilt. Especially if we are going regimental, as I assume most of us do.

How have you reacted? Where did it happen. Here's one:

Just the other night, at a very nice restaurant, my wife and I were dining with another couple. The other gent was also wearing his kilt. (Mine was my Bear Kilt - Grizzly Cut - GO BEAR) Well, three fine ladies sitting near the bar immediately took a fancy to me and my kilt. The quesitons started to fly....."What's under there?" "I want to see what is under your kilt." etc. etc.

Had some polite conversation, finished dinner and went to the local Irish pub for a nightcap. A bit later in walk the three aforementioned ladies.

Now they are hanging on me and demanding "access." My wife,(who is a 5'9" blond and very athletic) stood up and told them they couldn't handle it. She bought them a drink and they settled down.

That is just one story......what are yours?

I've had nothing but compliments from women, that is, those who actually say something. many just say nothing and try to pretend they've not noticed.

Those that like the kilt are mostly mature women, I don't get young lassies throwing themselves at me (thankfully), but then, I'm an older lad myself and it wouldn't be proper.......would it!!

I've had some great reactions from women (and men for that matter)

These range from railway clerks to shop girls, tourists and hoteliers.

I was in Costa coffee in Edinburgh. A spanish looking waitress spied the kilt and announced to the world 'I love a man in a kilt. Sooo Sexy!!!!'

Whilst walking around Loch Ness, a group of female foreign tourists wanted their photo taken with me. This also happened when in the centre of Edinburgh with Hamish, Jack and a couple of others.

I was propositioned by a teenage girl on Waverley station who was determined to find out if I was regimental or not.

    Women and Kilts

Just one Kilts Night could fill several pages of this forum with stories of women and kilts.
Andrew could do a couple of pages all on his own!

    Bear, tell us a story

    Come on then Bear,

    Give us one good story.

By the way, did you get my email about the fabric and the kilt directions?

    Best,
    Dan

My wife and I attend a weekly group chat at a local coffee house. One of the other ladies has made more than an appropriate number of comments regarding my legs and how sexy I look. It's to the point my wife is ready to throw a punch if she continues.

Could the power of a kilt be even greater than any of us suspect? :P

    Hey Dan,
I was going to start with posting instruction for the classic cut. The grizzly cut is a little harder to make and uses more fabric because there are more pleats. (The front apron is smaller, so the pleats have to come around the front more.)
I may eventually post instructions for the grizzly cut but it wasn't in the early plans for that page.

    Aw Bear

Now I will have to buy another grizzly cut kilt from you. Well, it seems that the ladies like it, but more importantly, my wife loves it!
    Best,
    Dan

The bassist in my band (a girl) loves it, she's spoken for but it's still cool.
