    Kilted Cosplay at Comic Con

My daughter wanted to go to Motor City Comic Con in Michigan today. Since I wouldn't have much to do while she was there and I've never been to one I decided to go. She went off with her friends while I took in the sights.

Who knew that Trills are attracted to Tribbles? Or perhaps it was the kilt?

I could say so much. However, I'll surprise everyone and simply doff my cap. Nicely done!

Starfleet obviously needs to phase in the kilt as a part of their uniform. Makes that first contact so much more pleasurable.

Yep, as part of his formal dress uniform. I was thinking about making a TOS dress uniform tunic but didn't have time.

    Looking good, Lieutenant Commander!
Honestly, I prefer the tartan you wore over the black and white Scott that Scotty wore. I hope to see a Trill or a Cardassian by the end of the new trilogy...or (even better) some Denobulans. I think they need screentime outside of "Enterprise."

    Thanks!

I'm a TOS fan at heart but do enjoy all of it. Any Star Trek is better than no Trek at all!
I have to admit I just couldn't get into Enterprise. Strayed too far from the canon for my taste.

Saw the first reboot, cannot wait to see the second movie!

Just my luck that MacQueen goes well with Engineering/Security red. I wish Scotty had worn a kilt when he played the pipes at Spock's funeral. That would have been totally awesome.

I had a lot of requests for photographs. One guy told me his wife would kill him if he didn't bring her a pic.

I'm biting my tongue as well. ;-D

I had a great time. Saw a couple of UtiliKilts - one on a vendor, the other a patron. Way more Star Wars than Trek but it's all good. Ran into a couple of blokes in Wrath of Khan double breasted uniforms (arguing with each other over insignia), a few Next Gens, and many Star Trek newbies from the movie reboot.

One of the coolest was this kid dressed up as Uhura. She was too shy to ask for a photograph so her dad asked for her.
