    Atlanta Kilts?

Anyone have or had an Atlanta Kilt? I'm a Highland gamer and am considering purchasing one for throwing. I have a nice SWK sporran that I use when tooling around the games, but obviously can't wear whilst throwing. I'd love to have the added pockets. I'm not a huge fan of Sportkilt as the price ends up in the $150 range for a large guy size with loops and pockets. This company has the pockets visible on the sides and its a tartan kilt. I'm partial to the Black Stewart even though I don't know for sure what Scottish roots I come from.

I had one of Atlanta Kilts products in the Hunting Stewart. I think it would be a perfectly serviceable kilt for Highland Games heavy athletics. The pros would be: price, durable construction and fabric (acrylic.) The cons: The fabric is a little stiff when it's new and would take a little breaking in and they are hemmed at the bottom of the kilt--no selvage. All this being said, they provide a product that is fitted to your waist, hips and rise, a pretty fair offering of tartans and they get it to you when they say they will. You could get a nice throwing kilt form Atlanta Kilts for less than $100 US. I like the Black Stewart, too, and it's one of those "non-denominational" tartans open to most everyone.

Thanks! Good information. I'm currently wearing the SWK Thrifty and I LOVE it. I really like the velcro part of it, I'm afraid of a custom fit kilt, but I guess I shouldn't worry so much. I definitely want the acrylic fabric. Thanks again!

I picked up my first kilt from ATL Kilts for a kilted golf tourney a couple months ago. Ended up keeping the kilts and have been very satisfied although I'm far from a regular wearer! They had prompt service, too.
