Break through

Getting ready for the family to come over for the 4th of July, my wife asked if I would give the lawn a quick mowing. Fine. I went in the house put on some blue jeans and boots (safety first). As I'm finishing up putting things away she looks at me and says you look weird in pants since you wear kilts so much now.

I have had similar "Where's your kilt?" occurrences.

Me too. Isn't it a wonderful thing? I recently went into a store wearing trousers and the sales person said "why no kilt today?" -- much nicer thing to hear than "why are you wearing a kilt?" Now whenever I put on trousers and see myself in the mirror, I think I look strange; but then again, I'm afraid I pretty much look strange no matter what I might be wearing!

I ran into a female aquaintance who purely by coincidence had never seen me in anything but a kilt. Well, I was wearing a pair of trousers and much to my teenage daughter's amusement the woman commented "Oh, I've never seen you with your pants on!"
