It's Here - 9 yards of perfectly pleated Cunningham Tartan

Arrived yesterday from Hector Russell. Perfect to my eye - very pleased with the results.

A picture of me actually wearing it will have to wait until I have some time for a proper dress rehearsal - which in turn might have to wait for cooler weather.

And, despite the fact that I should be doing more important things:

Basically trying out the bits that aren't standard "kilt hire" material and going for a smart casual look. I went with the semi-formal sporran because I thought it lifted things a bit with the black hose and charcoal jacket, and the blue shirt was a definite experiment but I kind of like the result.

Looking good, Andy! Next in line, a Cunningham Hunting?

Probably not the hunting - not a big fan of the colours in that one. I actually really like the dress Cunningham tartan but I'd sit in something and get the white marked in no time at all....

It's unlikely I'll wear it often enough to justify a second kilt - if I do it's more likely to be something completely different - perhaps the Xmarks tartan...?

Yes, I think it's a really good "smart casual" look. Definitely a good buy!

As you are daring enough to go for that blue shirt how about blue hose too?

With what looks to be a longer length dark jacket it might reduce the slightly sombre impact of the black/charcoal even further.
