"It's not really a tartan then is it"
A funny thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. Mrs.crash and I were doing our shopping at a local farmers market and I was wearing my USA kilt in Wiklow County Crest tartan. A gentleman came up to me and said his wife wanted to know what tartan my kilt was. I told him and explained that Wiklow County was the part of Ireland that my family had come from. He said that it was nice that I observed my families heretage but that it " isn't really a tartan then is it" and turned and walked away from me.

Reason: spelling as usual
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Sometimes, Crash, we want to explain too much. The next time this happens just answer "Wicklow". You may get a puzzled look back, or you may get a "thanks, I'll tell her. she really likes it."

I thought of that afterward and I think I'll take that approach next time. It was kinda funny though.

turns and walks away... classic. it is my belief, negative comments like this come from envious, angry pricks. inside they'd love to sport a kilt, but dont have the stones.
