    Registration turn-around time?

A quick question for all those who have ever registered a tartan with the Scottish Register of Tartans. What is the typical turn-around time, between when the application was submitted, and when the tartan was accepted for registration?

I just submitted a tartan, and am curious as to when I might expect to hear back from the SRT.

    Thanks!

The president of the Alaskan Scottish Club recently registed the Alaskan Scottish tartan. He received a few questions and suggestions from the Tartans Register within a couple of weeks. After he submitted the answers (about the disigner) and changed the tartan to the corporate category he received notice of acceptance and the registration number within six weeks. I don't know if this is typical, but it seemed things went pretty quickly.

Mine have taken between two and three weeks from The Register receiving my application and woven sample to the receipt of my certificate back here in Victoria.

Even in the case where there were questions or comments from The Register everything was handled via email so there is only a one or two day turn around for communication.

I would give them 10-12 business days to process your registration, plus the time enroute via the mail system.

Thanks, gents. I filed electronically, so have not yet submitted a woven sample (just some good, clear, electronic renderings and a photo). I'll send a woven sample for the archive, if the tartan is accepted for registration.

The time frames you each have stated sound quite good. Thanks to you both.

For future readers with the same question, I received the email today, indicating my tartan is now registered. I registered it online on a Sunday, and received the email 19 business days later.
