Help us choose
We can not agree on a name for our new son. We put it to a vote at the baby shower and we also wanted to have the rabble weigh in too.
Any other suggestions are also welcome, but please vote on these names as well. We'll keep this open for about a week.
Thanks
Andy, Kaila, AJ & ?

Yes, please. Are any of these family names?
FWIW, the permutation that appeals to me is Lachlan Maxwell Post...

I don't know what Lysander means but I like the way it sounds and without knowing anything else about you folks I reckon that's all I have to go on. I'm a fan of the less usual. :-) (My daughter has 2 middle names because we couldn't decide who to slight. I think it works out well - plus her first name is combination of her mother's name and mine).

Voted - Tavish - just thinking about the little one growing up - make sure his name can not be made into a mean nick name . I think a name like Tavish would be cool , I dont think anyone would mess with a Tavish ,

I'd love to think it was a reference to Lysander Spooner. If I had a son, Lysander would be a strong candidate for his name.

Ok some backround, Maxwell was my wife's grand father's middle name and Justice is my middle name. As for the choices of first names our families do not have a lot of depth with first names. We have lots of Roberts, Andrews, Michaels, Liams, Richards and the like, so we wanted something different.
Tobus: It is indeed a reference to Lysander Spooner

Hi Andy.... Those are all great names. It must be tough to decide. I really like Lachlan Maxwell Post and also Lachlan Justice Post. How about another possibility... Maxwell Justice Post? Max is a good strong name. And then there's Angus.

Andy: Congratulations on your new son! My sincere input is to not give him a name that will engender teasing from other kids. Remember the Johnny Cash song, "A Boy Named Sue". I am not implying that any of the suggested names are in that category. That is entirely up to you. My wife taught school for 35 years and saw many kids with unusual names taunted by their classmates. It's no fun for the kid. Good luck with your selection.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
