Portland area kilt night, next Tuesday the 26th!
I thought I'd make an official post with the date for our meetup. Here's the scoop.
Next Tuesday, November 26th at 7:30pm we're meeting at The Highland Stillhouse in Oregon City. It looks like we've got a small handful of folks planning to come, but out little gathering will be even better if YOU are there too! Bring a friend or three if you'd like. All are welcome, even those wearing trousers. I sent an invite to the Stumptown Kilts boys as well, so hopefully they'll join us.
Word is that the bar gets crowded and may not provide an optimal space in which to show off our kilts, but I love the idea of meeting here, so this will be a test kilt night. If it ends up not being an ideal venue we'll try a different place the next time.
So then, to recap: next Tuesday, 7:30pm, Highland Stillhouse. Hope to see lots of smiling faces and fabulous kilts!

Good on you for organizing that - but its a LONG drive from Vancouver. Grew up in Portland but probably would be totally lost today - last time there was a visit in 1968... I'll be there in spirit though.

Obviously I need to poke my head in here to take a peek a bit more often. I nearly missed this whole thing. Would you happen to know if there is a porch or patio at the venue where a gentleman (kilted or not) might enjoy a pipe with his kilted companions?
Barring some unforeseen misfortune I will be there. I look forward to meeting you all.

Sorry, forgot you folks built freeways since I left....do enjoy. Hard to find good fish & chips...now my massive belly is rumbling from imaginary indulgence....

There is a patio on the upper deck between the building and the parking lot for smoking and those just wanting to get away from the crush and the heat. Great view from there. Alas, CaptMac and I have gotten overwhelmed with holiday preparations so will have to pass. Lift one for us.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
